The bathroom might seem like a suitable place to clean unfortunately it harbors lots of harmful bacteria. The humid-warm atmosphere seems to be a playground for bacteria accumulation. In reality, the baths and showers cannot be described as bacteria-free. Soapy water contains plenty of bodily bacteria that eventually forms thin layers on the shower curtain and surrounding surfaces. Towels and sponges which are damp for the most part of the day are perfect bacteria breeding grounds. This goes without mentioning face cloths which are mostly wet rather than dry. They form the perfect nest for microbes as they are preferred for cleaning rather than drying. Taps and their handles are other places for contamination as they accumulate all sorts of germs through contact with moist or wet hands.
Vinegar turns out to be most effective when combating bacteria. Wipe all surfaces with a clean soaked cloth vinegar solution. Once a week rinse the wash-bin with vinegar. Ensure all family members use hand towels. Each body part must have its own towel. Toothbrushes should be kept in a safe place and should be replaced every three months. Take time to clean handles and tap surfaces. Also, wash your hands with soapy, warm water for about 15 minutes as much as possible. Bleaches and antibacterial materials should always be in your bathroom. The environmentally friendly material is equally important.
Keep your toilet clean
Just like the bathroom, the toilet is another humid area around the home. Germs love humid environments. The bacteria here absorb organic waste and release foul smells. Bacteria are mostly present in the toilet bowl and the floor, seat, door handle and flush. Bacteria remain present in lime-scale deposits. Always shut the lid before you flush to prevent bacteria being flung into the air.
Ensure that the toilet is regularly flushed and the lid kept down to prevent the spread of bacteria. Always keep it aired to reduce the level of humidity. If possible, have it cleaned daily with anti-bacterial products. Ensure you wash your hands thoroughly every time you are from the washroom and the same should apply to your children.
